Launch of Iron City South Shields is a Roaring Success!

Iron City Motorcycles, based in Gateshead and Leeds, proudly celebrated the successful launch of their brand new dealership in South Shields, marking the return of KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS and Royal Enfield to the North East. The Iron City South Shields Launch Party, held on Saturday 6th April, saw an impressive turnout of over 500 bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts throughout the day.

As KTM's latest authorized dealer, Iron City Motorcycles, have continued their impressive climb in becoming the premier destination for motorcycle enthusiasts in the North East and Yorkshire. Aswell as being the new home of KTM, Iron City South Shields will also stock Husqvarna Motorcycles and GASGAS products.

The launch party was a testament to the enthusiasm and passion shared by the biking community in South Shields and beyond. Along with an impressive display of a KTM MotoGP bike and a GASGAS 450 Dakar rally bike, visitors were treated to an unforgettable special guest appearance by none other than the ultimate 2-wheel adventurer, Lyndon Poskitt. Lyndon gave an enthralling Q&A session, telling everyone about his 20 year experience working with the KTM brand and his many stories from touring the world.

In 2022 Opus Harley Davidson rebranded as Iron City Motorcycles and commenced a significant period of growth. New brands have been approved and added to the group's portfolio including Kawasaki, Royal Enfield, Aprilia, Moto Guzzi, Mutt Motorcycles and the all electric Livewire. Motorcycle Merchandise and clothing brands newly added include famous brands such as Alpinestars, RSV, Shark, HJC, Oxford products and Muc-Off to name a few all available via Iron City’s rapidly expanding ecommerce store.

Visitors will be able to view, test drive, and buy the KTM, Husqvarna, GASGAS and Royal Enfield motorcycles on site via the dedicated and award winning Iron City Motorcycles team, as well as organise servicing and repairs, and purchase parts, accessories, and apparel.

The Launch Party on saturday 6th April commenced the start of full operations at Iron City Motorcycles South Shields, and the continued positive reception of the brand has been overwhelming from the passionate north east motorcycle community.
